Christian Writers Group
The Christian Writers Group exists to write, edit, educate, and publish for the glory of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
Writers of all experience levels are welcome. Whether you are interested in poetry, devotionals, scripts, articles, blogs, podcasts, websites, or fiction and nonfiction books, this group provides a place to grow in your craft and connect with other Christian writers.
Meeting Information
Mondays | 6:30–8:30 PM
Faith Building
The group does not meet on holidays or during the months of August and December.
Weekly meetings include prayer, encouragement, discussion, and opportunities to read and receive feedback on written work. Members also learn about writing, editing, marketing, and publishing.
Throughout the year, the group hosts guest speakers, educational workshops, conferences, and an annual book fair. The group also writes and publishes an annual Christmas Advent devotional for our church and community.

Christmas Advent Devotional Submissions
July 6–October 19
The theme for the 25th anniversary edition is “Christmas Is Coming!” Submission guidelines are available at weekly meetings.
Cibolo Book Festival
October 17 | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
203 S. Main Street, Cibolo
Several group members will be participating and selling books. Admission is free.
Advent Devotional Distribution
November 22 and November 28
Copies will be available in the Main Sanctuary Lobby and the church office. Please take one per family.
